Who we are

Cardboard Assets ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Fiorillo Media Company LLC, a New York limited liability company. The service is reachable at [email protected].

What we collect

• Server logs. Like every web service, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) records standard access logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL, response code, and timestamp. We use these to debug and monitor.
• Local-storage preferences. Cardboard Assets stores a small set of preferences in your browser's localStorage — the eBay-fee toggle on the optimizer, recent searches, the cookie-consent state. This data never leaves your device.
• Email address (if you subscribe). If you sign up for our daily brief newsletter, we collect your email address through Buttondown. We use it only to deliver the newsletter you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any email.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Strictly necessary. Remembering your cookie-consent choice.
• Analytics. If enabled in the future, we may use a privacy-respecting analytics service (Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible — both cookieless) to understand traffic patterns. We do not use Google Analytics today.
• Advertising. Cardboard Assets may serve display advertising via Google AdSense. AdSense and its third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Personalized advertising can be opted out via Google's Ads Settings. EU/UK/CA users can manage advertising consent via the cookie banner on this site (Google Consent Mode v2 implemented).
• Affiliate links. Some product links on this site (TCGplayer when our affiliate ID lands, eBay Partner Network if approved) include tracking identifiers so we can earn a commission on referred purchases. These cookies are set by the destination site, not by us, and only after you click an affiliate link.

How we use your information

• To operate, maintain, and improve Cardboard Assets.
• To deliver newsletters and other email content you've explicitly opted into.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy (e.g., advertising vendors, analytics providers, hosting providers, and the email service we use to deliver newsletters).

Your rights

Under GDPR (EU/UK/EEA users) and CCPA (California residents), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. Email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request" and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

Cardboard Assets is not directed at children under 13 (US) or 16 (EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page tells you when the most recent change was. Material changes will be highlighted in a banner on the homepage for at least 30 days.
